Well yet another OLF member in Guitarmaker. My dear friend JJ tells about his legacy guitar project and how he got hooked on building guitars. Very nice JJ. |

BTW, there is a great article in there on how to build a controller for a heat blanket. No more dimmer switches, this is the real deal. Very cool. |

JJ, there's something special about putting your guitars in the hands of your children. It's a legacy bond. Craig |

Thanks for all the kind words guys...I was away from my computer till now and was surprised to see the thread. I still haven't seen the magazine and probably won't until Friday when I return home. This thing started as a result of posting that pic on the OLF after Christmas with the family. Jim Samuels contacted me and asked if I'd consider writing an article to discuss my rationale behind the legacy guitar project. The boys are going to be excited when they see their pics in a magazine. I'll be sure to make copies to be included in each of their guitar journals. They all feel special with their guitars knowing how much work went into producing them. It was a labor of love and far more fun than work. My brothers coerced me into making guitars for them but they insisted on paying for the materials. |
